I have been riding for ages on a old, heavy mountain bike and am able to fly up hills on it.The other day i just got a road bike and there is this one hill that just kills me on my road bike but i am able to speed up on the mountain bike.
so what is up with that ?
i thought it was ment to be more easy on a road bike then a mountain bike to climb hills but it kills me on a road bike to climb this hill. It is a really good road bike and it goes so fast but it kills me to get up this hill.
can anyone help me?

Maybe it's your gears. a 53/39 with a 11/23 ain't really a good combination for a non-pro for hills. Are you in the lowest gear with a really low cadence?

ain't a good combination even for the pros, when it comes to 8%+ hills 🙂
