Are Stronglight chainrings any good ? Is it worth paying the extra money for TA ones ? Anyone care
to outline the differences ? Thanks in advance Martin

IME the TA ones last longer. I think they have more shifting bits too, although I don't worry about
that. So, yes. (although not necessarily for my significantly less used big ring).cheers, clive

to outline the differences ?I picked up two TA chain rings during the week from my LBS, can't comment on the Stronglight ones as
I wasn't giev na choice. I could tell you how good the TA ones are to ride with, if I'd managed to
get my rearderailier to engage any gears on the rear cassette after unbending the hanger...The TA one's seem pretty solid, the chap at the LBS reckoned they were pretty good.
Cheers,

I *think* some Stronglights use a lower grade of alloy and are pressed.

I don't know if they are pressed, but there are certainly different qualities of Stronglight
chainrings. The better quality alloy is what they term 'Zicral' IIRC.Personally I don't think there is a great difference if any. I normally have used Stronglight and
have always been happy with them. Teh again, I don't get through that many chain rings.
