  1. Picture this.. Your new frame comes in the mail sweet.. took me a couple of
    hours to set it up..
    I wanted to remove the cant/v brake bosses right cause im runnin discs...
    lubed em up real nice and used a really nice fitting 9mm open end wrench..
    still the bosses started rounding out and stripping..
    anyone know how to remove them when they get like this or anysort of
    thread in cap for the whole boss?

    Auto parts stores sell rubber caps intended to cover unused vacuum
    connections on car engines. They work nicely as brake boss covers.

    Are these Manitous?

    Crush them with a locking wrench... twist hard. Use a little bit of
    *localized* heat if you like.
