This year I have discovered the many benifits of cycling and exercise in general. At the top of the list is the huge stress relief that comes from a good strenuous workout. However, lately this seems to be backfiring. Now, if I have to go 2-3 days without a good workout, I get very irritable and feel like I'm going to explode. (For a father of twin 2 years olds this isn't good).

Anybody else get suffer from the same symptoms?
As the father of two year old twins myself I can fully understand. I've found that it's easy to underestimate just how tired and stressed you are from everyday life (I've got no sympathy for those people with one child 😄 ). If you really can't get a workout that day, try getting extra sleep/going to bed earlier. It's easy to start believing you only need 4 or 5 hours sleep because 4 or 5 hours sleep has been the most you've got for a long time.
You don't say if you ride outside or on a home trainer. A couple of nights a week I'm on the trainer with the baby monitor beside me because the wife's at her gym or yoga class. If you don't have a trainer I'd seriously consider buying one. A hard hour (or even 40 mins) on the trainer will get rid of any stress.
Isn't that what got him in trouble in the first place?
Next thing you know, he will be writing us and telling us he has a daughter and she spends all her time on the phone talking to boys that call her at all hours of the night...
