Strawberry Pretzel Salad
I know, this recipe is quite old and been printed all over the place. But, there may be some cooks
who have not had it. I first came across it at a buffet luncheon and was sold!
Strawberry Pretzel Salad
2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup margarine, melted 3 Tablespoons sugar
3 (1oz) cream cheese softened
3 (2oz) Cool Whip 1 cup sugar
3 (3oz) pkg. strawberry Jell-O 2 cups boiling water 20 oz unsweetened frozen strawberries
Mix crushed pretzels, margarine, and sugar together. Press into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees
for 8 minutes. Cool. Combine cream cheese, Cool Whip and sugar. Mix well. Spread on cooled crust.
Mix Jell-O with water then add frozen berries. Stir until berries soften and Jell-O start to
thicken. Gently pour or spread mixture on top of cream cheese layer. Refrigerate.
