  1. I have a question. I have a specialized road bike. While I'm riding my bike makes a strange noise while the right pedal is down. It sounds like the frame is tweaking. Is this normal? Are there any routine checks I can make to ensure the frame is still solid?

I can only make it make the noise while I'm pedaling, it seems to happen when I put stress on the frame, by pedaling hard.

I also have a question about my chain. I have two gears on the front sprockett and eight on the back. If I am in 16th gear and try to jump to 1st or 2nd my chain will jump all the way off and onto the crank. I do not have any problems with chain/derailler noise at any time. Could it be possible that I'm just not supposed to make such a large gear change?

    Thank you,
    Gus
