Strada & the litespeed twins

You know, I think I have finally come to realize that the whole subject of recumbent riders versus
conventional riders is just like the relationship between dogs and cats. For eons they have not got
along. Every once and a while they do get along, but it is rare. About a week ago I was riding at a
fairly decent pace for me of 21 mph on my GLR trike. Could never get to those speeds on my older
trike. Regardless, I passed a gentleman who was in excellent shape. He had the calves of a serious
rider, all the clothes, etc. A few minutes later I noticed him following. He held with me for a good
five minutes, then sprinted ahead to pass. When he passed he literally looked at me like I was a dog
dropping on the trail. What was so funny to me though, was he had been riding probably his whole
life to achieve those speeds, and I've just barely got started. Plus I am a good twenty pounds
overweight.

ALRIGHT Bill! A CLEAR VICTORY Encounter for you! YES, there are quite a lot of SNOBBY (Especially DF
ones) cyclists out there and as long as a certain few continue to disbelieve a bent can't GO FAST
and can't (In some cases) keep up with certain one's, FUN can be found in all kinds of encounters.
Some of the Class 1 & 2 DFer's I hang with (But not for long) accept and enjoy my brief appearance.
I guess in their mind, there's still something "They" might be able to go fast on, once their DF
