  1. Well, I'm still struggling. Or rather still making excuses to eat [censored].
I'm bloated, farting like nothing on earth, and feeling like [censored].
    You'd think I would've learnt by now, right? 🙂

I do have one positive piece of news though. It's been a week since I
drank any diet coke. Yay!! I was at the stage where I was drinking
approx 2 litres a day. 🙁 The only water I would drink was at work,
    where I have a sipper bottle I guzzle from. I don't drink tea/coffee
etc. The first few days were the worst. I had a splitting headache,
that pounded constantly, but I managed to make it. I'm now drinking
only water for the first time in a loooong time.

So now to my eating. The worst part of the "day" for me is when I get
home from at 4am. I'm still trying to wind down, so don't want to go to
bed straight away, and usually find myself heading for the fridge and
tv. If I can break this habit (no, WHEN I break this habit), everything
    else should fall into place.

Today I am 176lbs (I think I have the conversion from kgs right). I'm
also going to put my scales outside in the shed to stop myself
    obssesing over what they say!

I've done this once. I *will* do it again, and for good this time! I
    deserve it.

    🙂

  2. No.

Congrats on the DC thing! Sounds like it took an enormous force of will to
    accomplish that.

I no longer keep any carby foods in the house. If I start roaming around
the kitchen looking for a snack, I can eat just about anything in the fridge
or cupboards and still not get myself into trouble. I also keep easy stuff
for snacking on hand: string cheese sticks, washed/cut-up raw broccoli and
cauliflower and buttermilk dressing, high fiber biscuit rounds (my own
recipe) and cream cheese, meat balls (my own recipe), hard-boiled or
devilled eggs, yogurt, etc. Since I'm the one that does the
shopping/cooking for my family, they've adapted to having only non-carby
    foods in the house.

It did. I didn't realise just how much I was drinking until I tried to
    stop.

I have carby food in the house for my partner. Yes, I could try and
change the way he eats, but I don't want to force my way of eating on
    him. I do prepare
the evening meals, but he has cereal etc in the cupboards for
breakfast, and things like pies and mini pizzas in the freezer to take
to work for lunch. There isn't too much rubbish in the way of biscuits
    etc

OIC. Well, I'm not as nice as you - lol. Actually, when I started this I
told my husband and my daughter that I had to lose this weight or they could
lose me, and that I was going to be shopping and cooking differently. I
also said that if they want carbs, they'll have to eat them elsewhere, I
wouldn't make them give up carbs but I wouldn't buy them and didn't want
them in my kitchen. As a show of support, my husband offered to eat the
same foods I eat. My daughter, well, she's a kid and while she gets a vote,
I get two <G>. I do let her eat that awful cheap-o boxed mac'n'cheese
(which I don't like) a couple of times a week, and she likes corn (which I
    don't miss) and peas (which I don't like)...I just don't buy bread,
potatoes, rice, pasta, cereal, some fruits, or sweets anymore.
