Stiff Suspension?

My forks pack up in the wet aswell. You probably have a problem with your seals or some of the components within the fork are waterlogged. Best to take em appart and reassembl...no, get the bike shop to do it as they know what they are doing (im never confident with taking appart thinks like forks). As for the brakes, clean the rotor and see what happens. If that doesnt work, check the rotor bolts are tight, your axel nuts are tight and the brake pads are alligned.

to put it bluntly, zoom = cheap very low budget forks.

although having said that they shouldnt pack up when wet, only thing i can think of is if youve stored the bike wet, or outside and the internals of the fork are going rusty.

1st thing i would try is oiling up the internals, most zoom forks have plastic top caps that you can remove with a flat head screwdriver, drip in some generic light machine oil, nothing too thick, not too much though, replace top caps, and then turn the bike upside down for a few mins to let the oil spread out, then try the forks out. failing that, take it back to where you bought it and see how good their aftersale service is!

as for the disc brake squeel, im assuming since its a zoom fork the brake is likly to be a very basic cable operated unit, squeel is caused by a few things, one of which is poor alignment (although perfect allignment can be practically impossible unless theyre high quality branded units) another of which can be loose fixings, since the bike is 1 month old things may just be settling in, check all the mounting bolts, disc, and caliper mounts.

if your going to clean the disc rotor up, TAKE THE WHEEL OUT OF THE BIKE! solvents and many various oily chemicals will destroy the performace of your pads. use meths, alcohol, or electrical contact cleaner to buff p the rotor with a lint free cloth, make sure you rinse the rotor off with water before reinstalling the wheel.

the only other thing i can think of if the brake is a cable operated disc is to check that the disc is not being pushed over and bent when the brake is applied.
