Stelvio mounting

Check the sidewall for rotation direction arrows. These may be pointing in the opposite direction
for front (vorderrad) and rear (hinterrad) wheels. (these German words may be present along with
the arrows).

If there are no rotation direction arrows, then on the front the rotation should be with the point
of the triangle making contact first. And the opposite direction on the rear. And then again if
there are no rotation direction arrows, it probably doesn't matter.

Mine have none. I put mine on so the grooves in the tread (which run slightly away from the
centreline) make an arrowhead pointing against the direction of travel, at the contact point.

In theory this means that water will run along the grooves as the wheel moves forward and be forced
away form the centre of the tyre.

This could be Complete Bollocks, it's just how I do it.

Those grooves wore off of my Stelvio in a couple of hundred miles. Now they are as smooth and tread-
free as my IRC Roadlites were. I don't think it makes a bit of difference which way you mount them,
since the tread and it's effect on any water are so minimal. Consider that the contact patch is
probably 1/4in X 1in (7mm X 25mm), how much difference can it make?
