Steel frame care

that frame is going to last you for many many years...just keep it indoors and dry when you are not riding it. the frame has been treated chemcally...and it should be chromed under the paint as well...not to mention the protective quality of the paint itself. don't worry too much about it. in 10 years you can have it sent off..stripped...and repainted. it will look like it came straight from the showroom floor..and ready for another 10 good years. I have 2 steel frames myself...a Ciocc and a Moser.

You can treat the seat tube with 3M Rust Fighter-1. It's the same thing as Frame Saver. Just make sure you do it when the humidity is low and make sure the first application is a light one and let it dry completely if you do a second one or else you'll be waiting days for the solvents to evaporate.

I did two applications when it was humid and it was a pain in the a##. The stuff is thick so I think just one application would be enough.
