Hey all, just wondering if a stationary bike would help with biking? I am already riding Mondays and Saturdays. Also, my stationary bike is not fancy, it doesn't hill programs, heart rate, etc., all it displays is time, distance, cals., and speed and you can manually turn up the resistance from 0 to 8. 0 being lowest and 8 being highest. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😕
Try to have the seat angle and height the same as you road bike and the pedals at least with toe clips and straps.
I use a heart rate monitor and normally do 6 sessions of 30 min a week at 65%-75% of max heart rate. I then run at 75%-85% HR (or walk) off the bike for 10-15 min, and finish with a 10 min walk at 55% of HR.
The cadence is "set" at 90-96 and the load is adjusted to achieve the desired heart rate. If you trainer has "Watts", then Watts vs HR is another way to go.
