starting a club, or anything that could make this club stand out among
the rest.
We aren't just a running club though. We also hope to have cyclers,
triathletes, and walkers. You can check out thre website we have
started. It isn't finished yet, but please take a gander.

I have essentially no experience with running clubs or running /
walking / cycling / triathlete clubs, or starting them up. So can't
offer you any wise words of experience.
But I will say that on your front page and post here, you present a
confusing image of who you are and who you want to be as a club. Your
inclusion of multiple sports and especially walkers - and you don't
say "competitive racewalkers" so I assume you don't mean that, but
rather people who walk for fitness or leisure or in road races - seems
to imply "everyone is welcome". Which is one legitimate and admirable
way to organize.
OTOH your front page says "...would like to race competitively" and
includes the quote "It's not about winning or losing...it's about
coming in first place." This gives a spin that you aspire to being a
highly competitive club and are seeking pretty dedicated athletes.
Which is also legitimate and admirable.
I suggest that, whatever you want your club to be, you should present
a more unified message. If you want to be about serious competition,
say so more clearly. If you want to welcome fitness walkers, don't
scare them off with this stuff about competition and first place. If
you want fitness walkers and some of the top area runners, talk about
what you plan to offer each of them.
And I just realized - where the hell are you? It's not on the front
page or "About".
Who are you (and who you're looking for), where are you, what do you
offer? I'd expect to know these things from your front page.
