So I got a good deal on a used set of these Stan's ZTR Crest wheels. They have been working out great. If anyone else is thinking about upgrading, give these a look for sure. If you'd like to see more, I wrote a review with a bunch of pictures at: rock-racing.blogspot.comcrest ztr review.htmlOpen ↗

Hello HatePavement,
This is the second post of yours that I have read in the last two days. I am interested in purchasing a set of Stan's ZTR Crest Wheels - 29er. I've read several reviews, most of them positive but a few not so good, I've also seen one Crest Wheel set in my LBS getting the rim replaced due to spokes stretching out the holes.
I would like to know if you are still running the Stan's Crest. If so what are your impressions now, after riding them for over a year. If you are not riding them, why not? What is your rider weight? I'm a 170 lb rider @ 5' 10" which puts me close to the weight limit of the rims at 190lbs?
I'm mainly a XC rider from CA. I don't do jumps or drops, just miles, hills, and some technical single track.
Anyway, I would love to hear what you have to say about them now.
Thanks for your time.
John
