  1. Looking for best advice for three month training program for 10 day mountain bike stage race in the Himalayas. first day is two long road stages of 90km and then 5 stages of 20km - 30km climbing on technical trails and 2 days of push carry at 4000 meters+ followed by two days of decent. Looking for help sorting out a training program.....I live in Nepal so have no gym access but can ride and run .....

    Race is in March 2011

Plus if anyone is interested to race, a female companion would be appreciated(so far i am the only girl) http://www.yak-attack.co.uk/

  2. You should pick up the "Cyclists Training Bible" by Joe Friel. He has a couple of chapters that relate specifically to stage race training and, although he is talking about road cyclists, I'm sure most of the concepts still apply.
