  1. Initially it looked like Der Kaiser moved up a few spots by finishing
    19th and seconds in front of his main rivals who were way back, with a
    4-5 second gap from the sprinters' group. Was the (new?) 1KM rule put
    into effect and all were given same time despite huge splits at the
    finish?

    The split was caused by someone falling in the corner about 500m to
    go. The old rule applies. Did not see who it was, though.

    Now, is Voeckler the new Virenque? Not ugly enough, perhaps.

  3. It was Sammy Dumoulin who crashed in the final K as said above,
    therefore all where given the same time.

    There's nothing NEW about the 1km rule, that has been in effect for
    years.. the new rule is a 3km rule.
