  1. We are travelling down to the south coast of France on Fri 24th July and i saw that the route comes right across/under the toll road we take south from Lyon (just south of Valence). I have checked out the timings and it looks though the tour will pass through about 1.30pm. We then have another 3 and a half hours to the south coast after that. Basically, is it worth sticking around for 2 hours to wait for the tour to pass and if so, where is best to wait (village centres or open fields). Just to add to the mix we have a 2 year old daughter. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

  2. Certainly worth sticking around. Roads are usually closed early morning so some careful planning is required to find somewhere to park that is walkable to the route. Therefore a town/village may be preferable as if you were in the country you would need to get there V Early.
As for the little one she'll love it, just make sure you have plenty of supplies, folding chairs always good and something to shade you. Enjoy it, we are heading for the Ventoux, should be a blinder!
