  1. A question for any fellow St. Pete cyclists: Are the bridges from St. Pete Beach to Ft. DeSoto (i.e. Pinellas Bayway, Tierra Verde, et al) safe to cycle across in the roadway? As you know the walkways are too narrow and there are usually fisherman with chairs/tackle that make it difficult to even walk a bike past. I'm a bit nervous about riding in the roadway across these bridges because of the narrow lanes and no shoulder/bike lane. Just curious what other's experience has been.
