sram dual drive hub =different types?

The blue cover just keeps crud off your SRAM I-Brake mounting threads. Your other hub will accept a
disc, which may bolt into those six holes. They're both current options for the DualDrive hub.

What exactly is Dual Drive? The SRAM website doesn't really make it clear. It's not an internal
hub is it?
