  1. Hi,

Does anybody out there experience loud squeaky cleats with the Campy Record Pro Fit pedals. I lube them with this candlestick type lube before every ride and they're quiet for about 20 miles then start to make this awful racket! It's very frustrating, the rest of the Record stuff is very smooth and quiet, all I can hear is my tires humming on the pavement till the pedals begin to creak.

  2. I have the Record Pro-fit pedals and have yet to experience any squeaking, although I did with my old Looks. I found lubricating the cleat screws did the trick.

  3. Looks like I'll be replying to my own message. I found that the squeaking noise wasn't coming from the pedals or cleats at all. My bottom bracket was coming loose. I pulled the crankarms and tightened the bottom bracket on both sides, noise went away. Great.

    Mel
