  1. I signed up to run the Chicago Marathon this year and had been
training diligently. I am 21 years old and this was to be my second
marathon. I was expecting to finish around 3:30. About three weeks ago
(6 weeks before hte Chicago Marathon) I sprained my ankle playing
ultimate. It was not a terrible sprain, but it was decent. I saw a
physician, who referred me to a orthopaedist, who referred me to
physical therapy. For the past 2 weeks and 1 day i have attended
physical therapy every weekday. My ankle is in pretty good shape now
and I am less than a week away from running (which would put me around
    2 weeks from the marathon.

My question is, does anyone have any ideas as to the likelihood of me
being able to run and finish this marathon? I was up to 40-45 miles a
week and my two longest runs were 19 and 20 miles. Right now, I have
not run in 18 days, it looks like it will be at least 24 days w/o
running before i am back at it again, and in the meantime i have
missed two major long runs in my training. I was feeling really good
before the injury, but is it possible with just 2 weeks of training
available in order to finish the Chicago Marathon? I don't want to get
stuck out on the back of the course and have to walk it in. Any
thoughts, ideas or experiences would be welcome.
