  1. im thinking of entering the cotswold sportive on monday and wanted to know anyone who has information on sportives (i.e average speed, course terrain etc),

  2. Oddly enough, all the details are on the ride website. Who would have thought that??? http://www.cotswoldspringclassic.co.uk/ ... The website also says that it already has a full field - but there are 50 slots left open for riders who want to sign up on the day of the event, strictly on a dirt come, first served basis. Maps, route profile etc etc are all on the website.

  3. yes swampy i looked on there website but i wanted to know average speeds etc

  4. the beauty of a sportive is that you ride it at your own pace so people tend to register a whole range of average speeds, there is no obligation to ride at the pace of others. many will award different color "medals" for bands of finishing times that they set. for examle the Circuit of Kent (much flatter) is a 140km event and the silver medal time for a non veteran male is faster than 4h45m, obviously you can use that kind of information to estiamte averages.
