Speed

I think it's around 23-27+ mph average for both (I'm lead to believe the real difference is in tactics). But it really depends on many other things, ie terrain.

Depends on a lot of things such as:

Do the racers smoke? You know the effects of it
How regularly do they cycle or work out? The more they do, the more fit and hence the faster they are
Do they cheat and use motorcycles? The suzuki huyubusa can reach 200mph. I find it kind of hard to do that on my bicycle.
Are they fat? Heavy people have a hard time uphill, but they go downhill like meteors.
How old are they? Old people are useless at almost everything.
