  1. I have been riding a Klein Pulse Pro mountain bike on fairly flat trails(rail trails). I am looking at this bike for more speed. Anyone had any experience with this bike? I like the extra dampening and construction of the bike, but I want to make sure that I am buying somehtin that will replace my road and mountain bike. Any ideas?

  2. I have not ridden that specific bike but I think you are on the right track with your thinking. Cyclocross bikes are an oft-overlooked option, yet they provide a lot of versatility and plenty of speed for 90 percent of us. If you have an extra set of wheels you can put 25 or 28mm tires on, you can ride with, or at least near, the roadies too!

I just finished a cyclocross build myself and my road bikes have been gathering dust of late.

While I wouldn't use a Tricross for difficult singletrack, this bike sounds like the perfect tool for the job you describe.

  4. I pulled the trigger on a Cycolcross bike this summer after much research and am glad I did. Performs well on the pavement, and can still do mild dirt trails. Can definitely take a beating as well. A great all-around bike solution.
