    i'm looking into purchasing this pair of wheels (found an used pair). but can't find much informations or reviews about these wheels on the internet.

    so anyone have tried them and any pros and cons for these wheels?

    in buying an used pair, anything to look out for if the wheels are still good (except cracks and loose bearing)? what is a reasonable price for it?

    also about servicing these wheels, are they hard to find parts and expensive? let's say a loose hub? (are they actually exact same as the HED 3?)

    The Specialized Tri-spoke wheels are basically HED 3s. I would think that you can find parts for the hub by contacting HED. hedcycling.comhedcycling.com

    I rode a HED 3 in the front for a few TTs. They make some cool swooshing sounds even in the clincher model. Control with the wheels can change depending on your weight. Heavier riders may feel less of the tug from cross winds. Being between a buck 40 and a buck 50, I felt a little more of the tug from the cross winds. If anything, they will make you faster in TTs. I have seen riders use them with training and in crits. But they are a bit heavier than your normal wheelset. Then again, you might get some benefit in speed when they are fully up to speed. For quick start and stop races (crits), you'd probably be advised to leave them at home.

    From what HED told me with their models, they expect them to last between 25,000 and 30,000 miles. If you ask me, that is a durable wheel.
