  1. Hello. I'm new to this forum. Are clipless pedals safer for mountain bikes? If so, do you have suggestions as to preferred shoe, without going too far into debt (but also not skimping on quality). Thanks for your input.🙂

    For most purposes yes they are safer. There are lost of good shoe's out there. My favorite's are SIDI. They have some very expensive models out there but also some pretty affordable ones that offer similar performance and durability as their top models.

    mate they are till you need to put your foot down quickly! I persevere with them though cause they feel so much safer in all other respects.
