I have SPD-R cleats mounted to Northwave Evolution shoes
(the ones with the carbon sole that screws in). I have been
clever enough to strip the toe-side threads on the T-shaped
backing plate. Is this backing plate an item custom to
Northwave, or are they a dime-a-dozen like SPD backing
plates? Better yet if anyone has any out there and can help
me out – you can save my rain shoes. Thanks,-a
