  1. I have a question regarding my new spd pedals. I just got shoes (sidi rampa 3) and some spd pedals. After installing the cleat and trying them out for a bit it seems that I eventually twist the cleat on the bottom of my shoe while unclipping. After twisting the cleat around I readjusted and tightened them down very tight, and the same thing happened, the cleat twists on the bottom of my shoe (the bolts don't come loose, it's still as tight as it originally was). Am I missing something? Should I really crank on the bolts and try to tighten it even more?

I read something on cycling news that seemed somewhat related to this problem that said to use silicon glue.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks,
    Michael

    Are the bolts bottoming out?
If they are, you need ones that are a little shorter.
If not, check to make sure they can get a good grip on the shoes and cleats. Coat the threads with grease and get a good tightening force, being carefull not to strip or break the bolts.
If you aren't sure what's going on, have an experienced mechanic help you out. Cleats that turn can be dangerous because they may keep you from releasing when you need to bail out.
