south America 2011/2012 tour. Looking for companions.

Hi,

I am a 28 year old Englishman living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My usual job is working in television as an editor in the UK but I try to spend the same amount of time travelling around the world, teaching English.

I would like to start a trip covering south America, I don't really have a deadline, if lots of free time. I'm thinking of setting off with some good planning towards the end of the year, something like October perhaps, though this month is flexible. The important thing for me is a decent chilled out companion and the desire to explore.

I don't consider myself a cyclist per say but I love adventure. The only time I have done a cycling trip was in between jobs two years ago solo, with a tent, for 3 weeks which I fully enjoyed.

Finally, I would naturally like to document this so if there are any filmakers, even better to share the load.

Quieria empezar un viaje por America del sur. No tengo una entreda sino mucho tiempo libre. Pienso que iria, con mucha preparacion, al fin del ano, tipo octubre- pero soy flexible. Para mi, la cosa lo mas importante es de buscar alguin de buena onda que quiere duscubrir y explorar.

No soy ciclista pero me encanta la aventura. Hice un viaje por bici, entre trabajos, hace dos anos, con mi carpa por 3 semanas, fue muy buenisimo!

Finalmente, quieria documentar la experencia. Si hay alguin que hace filmacion, sera igualmente mejor!

Je suis un anglais de 28 ans vivant sur Buenos Aires. Normalement, je suis monteur d'images pour la tele anglaise mais j'aime faire les voyages autour du monde enseignant l'anglais.

Je veux faire un voyage par l'amerique du sud, je n'ai pas encore une echelle de temps specifique mais j'ai beaucoup de temps libre. Je pense partir vers octobre, mais ceci sera flexible. Pour moi ce qui est important est de trouver un compagnon avec l'esprit ouvert et le desire d'explorer.

Je ne me considere pas un cycliste mais j'aime l'aventure. J'ai fait un voyage il y a deux ans pendant 3 semaines avec une tente- c'etait super.

Finalement, je pense documenter l'experience alors si il y aurait des filmakers parmi vous, encore mieux!

i found this Dutch company in a cycling magazine article, contacted them and seem reliable to me,

They go all the way from Ecuador into Ushuaia, passing through Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile. It is pricey but you can also join them in
sectors-stages of the trip and just pay for that particular leg/stage,

I too will be travelling, i will be starting off in Ushuaia the first week in November and travelling north through the Americas until i reach Acapulco. Cycling solo, fit 32 year old west midlands cycling enthusiast. Did Alaska to Acapulco in 2007 with a friend. Taking lite photography kit and a tablet this time. Intend to do it in 10 to 12 months. Sorry for the brief reply, im using my new tablet writing this.. terrible delay.;-©

that could work for me also, but only the first bit - month - . What is exactly your intended route, since from Ushuaia you could choose Argentina or Chile or both ?
