I am one that will not take a chance on unknown sources for strips. I have to set my insulin dose based on the readings. Too much insulin can be big time problems for me. A 911 run costs about $700 plus the personal risk.
They do not come any cheaper than me but in certain areas I will not cut things.
Some sources just do not seem to be a good choice. Ebay is a jungle as far as I am concerned. Unknown dealers are not suitable for me.
The way to go is to see why strips cost so much. I expect that to happen the day after I win the lottery. These people have the control and we pay what they decide. If you believe otherwise I have some nice bridges for sale. Prices are set by your available funds. Guy
Guy, I agree that others (gov't etc) control the prices. But, I had to make the choice of using a mail order (ie. MP total care or others) to provide me with the strips, and (a meter if necessary)..they do all the paper work for Medicare, and then whatever is left over is absorbed by the company ( have very limited funds) so I guess that is my best bet at this time. I test 10X/da, as I'm pumping and have other issures that make that a requirement. JMO.....Mic
