Does anyone know of any source for adjustable seat back support rods? I have a Ryan Vanguard with seat supports that are not all that adjustable and looking for the type like RANS has on most of their seat backs (one sections slides into another and are secured with pins). I am looking for something like a 7" top support and a 9" bottom support.
A few years ago I bought some from Longbikes but the price was rather steep and I am curious if I can find them someplace else.
Why not just use Rans seat supports. Poweron cycling has them,about 40 or 50 dollars. You can also just buy the "flute tube" [the one with all the holes] and for the bottom part,buy some aluminum tubing at local hardware store to slip fit into the flute tube. I think it's a 5/8" diameter flute tube ,so a 3/4" od tube fits it. All you have to do is decide how long it needs to be and cut off,flatten one end ,drill a hole. Slide 2 sections together and drill a single hole to match the flute tube holes. Mark Powers used to sell the flute tubes separate or maybe the new all black sets would work out for you.
