done for a while.
Can Sora STIs with Sora front derailleur and 42T middle ring cope with 28T and 26T inner chainrings?
I'm particularly concerned about the indexed nature of the front shifter and the inside profile of
the front derailleur cage? Will it shift up ok? Or would chain always/frequently not make it and
clatter around in no-man's land struggling to get up there?
I'm NOT so concerned about downshifting, rubbing on bottom of cage, rear mech capicity or slack
chain. Those things I know about. Sora indexing and derailleurs I don't!
I'd be interested to hear from lots of people who have tried this exact combination with Sora
equipment. What happened? What size & brand of chainrings? Stronglight and TA granny rings ok in
this regard?
