What is the real range and capacity of a Shimano Sora triple (long cage) rear derailleur? One source
I found says 27t max sprocket and 37t capacity. Is that right? 27t seems pretty small... I just
picked up a 2001 Jamis Aurora touring bike, which is pretty well equipped for the $$ except for the
gearing selection: 12-25 rear, 52-42-30 front. Fine for unloaded touring, but a 48-36-26 front would
make more sense. And I'm thinking of changing the rear to 12-28 or 12-30, hence my question. -Jim
