  1. Somehow I stumbled on to a sail trike listed on eBay. It is not that much
    different from one I remember seeing on the RANS web site in their company
    history section. These paticular ones are being sold under the Volvo name.
    They come with ice blades for those confined to Minnesota and one of those
    helmets you hear about from time to time on bicycle newsgroups.

    Note to Jeff Grippe:
    Even though this is a trike that can easily be seen - it's almost 15 feet
    high - I don't think I would recommend it for your commute into NYC.

    15 feet high huh? I like it. Believe it or not I have already purchased a
    portable, scrolling sign to mount on my next trike. I plan to mount it high
    where it will be visible from many cars back and I have programmed the word
    "Slow" into it. Most of all, however, I plan to ride where as few people as
    possible will ever see it.
