Ooops. Never trust the radio. Seems it was a generator at a swedish powerplant that went boom.
Triggered a chain of overloads like in the US and Canada.

Luckily we got power here now. Just one block further in power was still off. Nice sunny day
though so no biggie. Interesting to try though. I guess most of the americans on the east coast
will scoff at a mere two hours. ;-)

I was thrilled when I saw the title, but alas; wrong off switch.

I was hoping someone had flipped the OFF swith to all the political [censored] on this newsgroup. We are
inundated with talk shows, TV, and constant droning of big brother every waking hour.

I should be happy that gas is soaring in price, along with car registration tripling here,
expensive CA smog 2 tests, $90/an hour mechanics, etc.; while I have the choice of a $4 bicycle
license. But I am not.

Barrages of impeachment, lousy state finances called for a much needed recall. It is bad enough with
our daily dose of that. War is secondary, I guess.

**sigh** The OTHER off switch, please!!
