  1. I have a few unrelated questions.

When I fall asleep on the couch (tile floor in that room,
drafty) at night I usually wake up very cold. The next few
days I am then almost always sick, with sore throat, sinus
    problems, body aches, etc.

Lately when I've gotten sore throats (in fact, every time
I've had one for the past few years) I end up with *large*
canker sores on my tonsils, at the back of my throat etc.
This goes beyond sore throat pain -- my throat feels swollen
and I am usually reluctant to eat or drink anything (the
pain is severe). The canker sores usually stick around for
    about a week.

My two questions... Why do I get sick when my chest gets
cold? If I fall alseep with a blanket I'm fine. Secondly,
why do my sore throats cause canker sores? When I was a
kid I would get strep a lot, but this canker sore
    business is new.

    Thanks all.
