This is true if the extra weight is on the top of the head (liposcalp syndrome), and/or on the soles
    of the feet (lipopedic disease)...

off topic, I doubt anyone knows, sarcopenia with age (eg., after age 50) is associated with loss
in height and loss of FFM weight. This loss of muscle usually associated with lower skeletal mass
with age, hip fractures, and height. Some people argue maybe some of it is due to a cohort effect
(secular trend) but it isn't because the exact same has been seen in different decades and
popoulations. Skeletal mass does increase with weight gain, as does muscle mass.

Hi wuzzy I know someone who has lost height with age but I am 58 and I seem to have grown taller by
1"and 1/2 inches and I can't understand it. The last thing I wanted to do was gain height as I was
5'6and half" so I was waiting patiently to lose height but I seem to be 5'8" now. Perhaps that is
why my thoracic area has been very painful for a number of years now.
