    I found some interesting statistics regarding countries and the number of pro teams in each for the
    2003 season:

    d1 d2 d3 Bolla, Jittery Joes

    Spain 5 3 4 France 3 2 5 UK 0 1 2 Germany 2 4 5 Italy 45 0 0 Canada 0 0 .5 USA 1 1 762 2

    I guess the spike in USA's d3 teams was attributed to a disgruntled USA cycling employee (volunteer)
    that several pads of D3 licenses and United airline vouchers and sold them on Ebay.
