OUR DOCTORS ARE KILLING US!
HOSPITALS ARE DANGEROUS
I'll bet you thought the safest place to be was a hospital. Not so.
Actually, one of the most dangerous places to be is the hospital. It is
there that all manner of germs are lurking. In spite of all efforts to kill
them, hospital infections, which are infections gotten while in the hospital
for something else, are one of the leading causes of serious illness, even
death, among patients. But that's not even the worst of it. More people are
killed by doctors' mistakes than by all other single causes. Most doctors
are highly skilled, generally careful practitioners. But there are many who
just barely passed their courses in medical school and are, at the very
least, sloppy, and at the worst, incompetent.
So, many people who don't die of their illness or accident die from hospital
infections and from doctor's mistakes, such as misdiagnosis, erroneous
prescriptions, prescribing wrong dosages, doing unnecessary surgery, and
through surgical errors.
300,000 PATIENTS KILLED EVERY YEAR
Ralph Nader did a three-year study of the chief causes of death in American
hospitals, which was released in January of 1993. In it, he came up with the
figure of 300,000 as the number of people who are killed each year as a
result of medical negligence. If we killed that many in a war, there'd be
rioting in the streets. During the Viet Nam war, there were street riots --
for only 57,000 killed during the whole Viet Nam experience -- and they were
working at killing people. But no one seems to notice when our doctors kill
six times as many by accident.
DOCTOR ARROGANCE
But probably the chief cause of death and exacerbation of illness is simply
the arrogance of too many doctors who still think they know everything there
is to know about personal health, including areas in which they have had no
training at all. If you send most of them information about preventative
medicine through vitamin and mineral supplementation, they routinely throw
it away unread. They think that because they are doctors, they know more
than people who have been curing illness and keeping people healthy for
centuries through their use.
WE CURE ANIMALS, WHY NOT HUMANS?
We have learned how to prevent and cure disease in animals with nutrition,
and we do it routinely through supplementation of their food. The same trace
minerals and vitamins that accomplish this in animals will also work on
humans. This has been proven. So why do the doctors and the medical
establishment ignore it? They've managed to ignore completely the advances
that have been made in veterinarian medicine toward curing illnesses that
are killing us right and left. One of the best examples of this is the
aneurysm. A 1957 study proved that an epidemic of early deaths among turkeys
was caused directly by a copper deficiency. The addition of copper to the
turkey's diets virtually eliminated the deaths. The same thing would work
for humans, but the information about this study has been roundly ignored by
the human medical community.
WE TREAT OUR LIVESTOCK BETTER THAN WE DO OURSELVES!
We commonly give our livestock on the farm nutrient-fortified feed. We do
this in order to reduce the death rate so as to maximize profits. Animals
that die too early don't provide profits. But no such circumstance seems to
exist for humans. Their nutritional needs are routinely ignored in favor of
giving them pain relievers and cutting them open.
SYMPTOMATIC TREATMENT
I've always been frustrated by the tendency on the part of many doctors to
treat my symptoms, rather than treat the underlying cause. In some cases,
this symptomatic treatment has been dangerous. One time they prescribed a
known blood pressure medicine for something else entirely. At that time, I
was already using two such medicines. But no one asked me what I was already
taking when they prescribed this medicine that could have easily killed me
had I continued taking it. And this treatment was just to mask the symptoms,
not cure the problem.
THEY JUST COULDN'T DIAGNOSE IT
The reason for symptomatic treatment is that in more cases than they'd like
to admit, they never even get close to the real, underlying cause of what's
ailing us. So they prescribe pills, palliatives, and pain-relievers to make
us think they've cured us. A good example of this is the pain relievers they
commonly prescribe for persons with arthritis. Doing this is much akin to
cutting the wires to the warning light on your car that tells you your
alternator is not working, Soon you'll be waiting for a tow truck -- or in
the case of humans, the morgue wagon.
What this does is mask the symptoms and make people think they're OK while
the underlying cause of their problem continues to cause their bodies to
deteriorate. The real answer for arthritis is to supplement their diet with
natural calcium. Most doctors -- who have been taught very little about
nutrition as preventative medicine -- disagree, saying the problem is a
buildup of calcium around the joints. This is incorrect. Other doctors with
excellent credentials, but who have been trained in the use of vitamin and
mineral supplementation, tell us that arthritis is caused by the melting
away of natural calcium from within the bones, which causes a buildup of
that calcium at the joints.
That calcium buildup is a consequence of a reduction of calcium within the
bone itself. The introduction of natural calcium into the system can
completely eliminate this buildup and, in effect, cure the problem.
Veterinarians know this, and commonly use calcium to treat their animals,
with routine success. But human doctors ignore it. Dr. Linus Paulding did
research which showed that dietary supplementation, in particular with
regard to vitamin C, would cure most of the ills of mankind. People
ridiculed him, but he kept on taking massive doses of this vitamin, and
others, and was still teaching and doing hard work on his ranch well into
his nineties.
Meanwhile other doctors, who were ignoring the evidence that dietary
supplementation has virtually eliminated many diseases among animals, live
to be, on the average, 58 years of age -- not even as long as their patients
(the ones they don't kill) live. Who are you going to believe?
NATURAL CAUSES? OR DEFICIENCIES?
Dr. Joel D. Wallach, B.S., D.V.M., N.D., 1991 Nobel Prize Nominee for
Medicine, during his early career autopsied 17,500 animals from 454 species
that had died of natural causes in zoos in the United States. He also
performed autopsies on about 3,500 humans who lived close to zoos in a study
that hoped to find an animal that was ultra-sensitive to pollution. But he
discovered something else during that study which has caused him to go on a
crusade around the world and to write several books detailing his findings,
hoping to be able to save people from unnecessary early death.
He discovered that Every human being, and every animal that dies of `natural
causes' dies of a nutritional deficiency.
SCIENTIFIC FACT
He documented this at the autopsy table. It is not arguable -- yet doctors
are still ignoring his findings while hundreds of thousands of people die
each year from nutritional deficiencies. This was back in the sixties. After
going back to school and becoming a human doctor too, he found that he could
add many healthful years to the lives of his human patients through use of
his nutritional findings.
POTENTIAL LIFE SPAN: 120 TO 140 YEARS
The genetic potential for the average human being today is from 120 to 140
years -- and we're talking about good years, here, not years of infirmity,
agony, illness, and faulty memory. But if we don't start paying attention to
those who tell us about preventative medicine, we'll never get there. We
can't continue to ignore what is right under our noses while we keep on
dying through ignorance. We need to start listening to people who know.
NUTRIENT-DEPLETED SOIL
There is one factor that has shortened our lifespan generally, and that is
the fact that we are growing crops in soil that is devoid of nutrients. Each
time a farmer takes a crop from a field, he takes along large amounts of the
natural nutrients that are there. And, except for this thin film of
fertilizer he adds later, he is soon growing crops in soil without
nutrients. The fertilizer he adds puts just enough nutrients in the soil to
allow him to grow crops that look good, but which do not contain enough
nutrients to support life in a healthful manner. This gives us food that,
while it may look and taste good, cannot support the needs of our bodies
without outside help.
WHAT ABOUT THE ANCIENTS?
Dr. Wallach tells us why the ancient Egyptian, Indian, and Chinese peoples
who lived along the banks of rivers such as the Nile, the Ganges, and the
Yalu, who didn't have nutritional supplementation, still lived long and
productive lives. The answer is simple: those rivers regularly flooded,
bringing nutrient-rich silt to the lands below. This was the most powerful
fertilizer there was, and these people prayed to every God they knew for
those floods to keep on coming because they knew, at some level, that it was
the floods that kept them healthy. According to Dr. Wallach, King Phillip,
who was father of Alexander The Great, married the Egyptian teeny-bopper
Queen Cleopatra (who was no Elizabeth Taylor) not because she was so
beautiful, but because she commanded the most healthy wheat in the known
world.
NUTRIENTS VITAL TO YOUR HEALTH
You need 90 nutrients in your diet each day. 60 minerals, 16 vitamins, 12
essential amino acids (protein building blocks), and 3 essential fatty
acids. If you don't have them, in complete numbers and in optimal amounts,
you're going to get a deficiency disease. And this deficiency disease will
probably cause you to die early -- of "natural causes." Recently, Margaret
Skeet, of Radford, Virginia, died at the age of 115 of a nutritional
deficiency. The official cause of death was "complications of a fall." But
those of us who look beyond the "official cause" know that she really died
of a calcium deficiency that caused osteoporosis, which caused the fall. She
had no heart disease, no cancer, no diabetes, and no other infirmities. No
reason to die, except for a deficiency in calcium.
Male pattern baldness is caused by a tin deficiency. Do you have it? Take an
ionic tin supplement. Ulcers aren't caused by stress. Veterinarian medical
research learned fifty years ago that it was caused by a bacteria in pigs,
and was curable by use of a trace mineral called bismuth and tetracycline.
CURABLE FOR HUMANS, TOO!
The National Institutes of Health released a study in early 1994 that
confirmed that this was also true for humans. They actually said that this
treatment could "cure" ulcers. What is amazing is that they actually used
the "cure" word. (The trace mineral bismuth is available in drug stores
under the trade name Pepto Bismol.)
ANTI-CANCER DIET
The National Cancer Institute and the Harvard medical School did a study on
cancer patients and released their findings in September of 1993. They
actually said: "An 'anti-cancer diet' was found." Among other findings was
that by giving double the recommended daily allowance of the vitamins and
minerals used, in the group that was given vitamin E, beta carotene, and
selenium, deaths from all causes were reduced by 9%. And 13% of people who
would have died from all cancers survived. (Remember, a 1/2% improvement in
any nutritional or pharmaceutical experiment will make a major difference in
humanity's life expectancy). In stomach and esophageal cancers, 21% lived
who would have died. The medical community largely ignored this.
DRIED CHICKEN CARTILAGE A DRUG?
In another Harvard Medical School study, this time in concert with the
Boston VA Hospital, which was also released in September of 1993, they gave
arthritis patients who had failed to respond to any medical treatment ground
up dried chicken cartilage in their orange juice every morning. In ten days,
all the pain and inflammation was gone. In thirty days, they were able to
open tightly closed pickle jars, and in 90 days, they had maximum return of
function.
So the director of the study, in his statement to the press, said that
apparently, "the drug" was successful. Chicken cartilage, having been
successful in treating the arthritis, was now a drug. And of course, now
being a drug, makes it a (doctor) controlled substance and about twice as
expensive. But you can go into any grocery store and get some Knox Gelatin.
It contains all the ingredients you need and costs only a few cents per
dose.
There are many more stories about major diseases that have been both
prevented and cured by dietary supplementation, including Alzheimer's
disease (high doses of vitamin E and low intakes of vegetable oil), kidney
stones (natural calcium, in spite of most doctors' prejudice against it),
early graying of hair (copper), liver spots (selenium), and menopause
symptoms (boron), but I don't have room to enumerate them here. If you want
to know about them, you can read Dr. Wallach's book or subscribe to "Staying
Alive," the newsletter.
THESE ARE NOT "LUNATIC RAVINGS">/B>
Many people, including most doctors, work hard to make you believe that
anyone who says that most of our diseases are preventable -- and even
curable -- through the use of vitamin and mineral supplementation is balmy,
and doesn't know what he or she is talking about. So let's look at what some
trusted sources (beyond those already listed) say about it:
Time Magazine, April 6, 1992: An article titled: "The Real Power of
Vitamins," in which they say, "New research shows they may help fight
cancer, heart disease, and the ravages of aging."
The United States Congress: In 1936, the United States Congress came out
with U. S. Senate Declaration Document 264 (74th Congress, Second Session)
which said categorically that we had depleted our soil of usable vitamins
and minerals (see the link below). This was in 1936. Has it gotten any
better? Nope. It has gotten worse, to the point where just about everyone
has some sort of vitamin and/or mineral deficiency and they're paying
doctors big bucks to either cut something out or to prescribe symptomatic
treatment (treat the symptoms, not the disease) while the underlying
problem -- the nutritional deficiency -- slowly kills them.
THERE ARE "PITFALLS"
There are things that you need to know when attempting to improve your own
health through good nutrition. One of those is that there are vitamins and
minerals on the market your body just cannot assimilate and which therefore
do you little good, while you think they're helping you.
Synthetics: These are man-made vitamins. You can get some good from them,
but the body is largely unable to assimilate synthetics.
Extracts:They extract the known substances and ignore those that are not yet
known (Until recently, such vitamins would not have contained vitamin E, one
of the most important vitamins known today, since it wasn't yet a known
vitamin).
"Natural" vitamins: The best kinds of vitamins are those that are completely
natural, and include the entire complex from the natural food source.
Metallic minerals: Use of these does you small good, because the body can
only assimilate a small percentage of what the label shows is supposed to be
there without help.
Chelation: This process (pronounced key-la-tion) can help (Not to be
confused with Chelation therapy). Chelation, (which fools the body by
surrounding the mineral with protein to make it think: "soup's on!"😉 so the
body can assimilate more of it) improves the assimilation rate to about 40%.
Ionic minerals: But there is a fairly recent discovery that has improved the
assimilation rate for minerals to almost 100%. This discovery is the ionic
mineral process where the mineral molecules are reduced to the size the body
can immediately use without processing. Ionic minerals are not universally
available yet, being a relatively new discovery. But if you search
diligently, you will soon be able to find them easily.
YOU DESERVE AT LEAST AS GOOD A CHANCE AS FARM ANIMALS HAVE
Don't you think you deserve at least as good a chance to stay alive and be
healthy for many more years than now as do farm animals? I think so, which
is why I believe you should go out of your way to learn as much as you can
about how it's done. Search out every source possible for information on how
to improve your health and lengthen your life through preventative medicine
using nutrition, as farmers do for their livestock. They've been routinely
supplementing the feed given their livestock for many years now, and their
livestock have been correspondingly healthier and live longer. If they can
do it for animals, why shouldn't you be able to do it for yourself? Why does
the medical community deny this research and ignore these results?
You owe it to yourself to seek out information outside of the usual
"self-serving" medical channels that can help you stay alive longer. Your
body is designed for it and you can live a longer life without the pains and
illnesses usually associated with old age. Start early, and you can have a
much better quality of life, for longer.
