In the last year I have completely cut out caffenated high sugar soft drinks but I could not give up on them all together. I have only bee been drinking things like diet sierra mist and diet sprite which has no cals, fat, carbs. How bad are these drinks for me in other aspects. It is hard to give up because it gives me the allusion of a "coke" (which I used to drink ALOT of). Am I doing any good at all by switching to these drinks?

Well, you are doing better than when you were drinking a lot of them, especially the sugared ones!
But why not just drink water (ok, I have a bit of wine too, but then again, I am Italian! 😉 ).
Stay away from that [censored] and you will do better and feel better!

Agree with your comments. But being italian, surprised you didn't mention espresso, latte and cappacino! (I'm warming up the Gaggia right now for the late afternoon double).
PS: Are you really italian? Your writing sounds like you grew up with english. If english is your second language, that's impressive.

Fair enough. I am a complete Espresso man myself, but am currently trying to limit myself to 2-3 per diem (down from my record 7-8 a day two years ago).
Thanks for the compliments. I am 100% Italian, English is my second language, but studied in the US (both Bachelor's and Master's) and although I have returned to the motherland, have brought along an American wife, so English is commonly used in the home! :p
