Sodding rain, coaches and buses

I presume Bardsey Bank is near Bardsey, what road is it on ? I exchanged dirty looks with a bus
driver in Leeds City Centre last week. I think he was [censored] that I stopped at every amber light
(I was too) so he over took me on the Headrow in the narrow bit, the back of his bendy bus was about
3 inches from my elbow when I put my foot on the kerb. I got in front of him at the lights, stopped
in the bike part at advanced stop line then waited three seconds once the light was green before
moving off. Lost him in traffic in South Parade.

Its the unclassified road that runs from Bardsey to Scarcroft with the camp sites along it. It gains
about 150m in 2 miles ( sorry for mixed units ). The bottom 1/4 is very steep next a 1/4 very gentle
and then the top 1/2 is steady.

I have very few run ins with drivers especaily professional drivers. So this took me back.

I find the best thing with buses is bang the side with the palm of your hand all the way down the
bus as it passes. IMO if it's close enough to hit, then it's too close.

Generally makes the bus driver suitably embarrassed in front of their passengers as it makes a very
loud noise inside the bus.

In fact a similar principle works on the roof of cars as well.
