I am sorry you couldn't make it as well. My wife and I had only to get on the Lex for a few stops
and walk 3 blocks (with boots). We met a bunch of great people, some of whom went to amazing lengths
to get there.

I think everyone had a great time. We certainly did.

With all the vituperation on usenet, it is amazing how civilized people can be when they actually
get together. I think even Sheldon would have been nice, and enjoyed himself, if he had come.

Oh, I wasn't terribly concerned about getting to Margaret's from Grand Central Terminal. 4 stops on
the #6 and you're 3 (long) blocks away! My hesitance was in getting from my house to the train
station. My street hadn't been plowed at 9am yesterday morning. There was 6 inches of snow on my
car, driveway and the surrounding roads. It would have been very treacherous and getting home would
have been worse.

As much as I adore Margaret and Barb and am VERY disappointed at not seeing them, or meeting you,
Terry, Gloria and your loved ones, I just didn't think it was prudent for me to risk safety. (Fred,
I missed you, too!)

Had I already been in Manhattan, or in a one-fare zone in one of the boroughs, I'd have been there
with bells on!
