lycra 😄Er, as good as *some* of us do. I wish I looked good in lycra...I so don't.
There is something rather sad about those little lycra-swaddled pot
bellies.Bruce (who keeps his pot belly well hidden behind a loose tshirt for
fear of frightening women and small children)
Really? I think there is something incredibly brave about the out of
shape pot bellied sods who are giving cycling a go. Watching sone old
fart who hasnt done any sport in 20 years and has not only got onto the
bike and is giving it a go but is brave enough to show the world by
wearing lycra. I think that is amazingly courageous.
As a person who mostly gives not a hang for what people think, I am
still not sure if I was fat (and its not my fault I,m not given my
appitite) I am not sure I would have the courage. But for genuinely
fat guys and even more couragously, fat girls to commit so totally. I
cannot find the words to express my admiration.
I know I,m a cynical bugger, and I tend to poke fun at most things.
But I am absolutely serious here. Its in real life that you find the
best examples of courage. And some fat 55 yo, killing himself up a hill
on beach rd, or a slightly chubby girl, fighting her weight down and
training like hell to do a better time in a triathalon, thats real
courage. And the bloke having a go cos they are fat, and cos he
wouldnt have the courage, were he they to wear lycra, he is the person
who is rather sad.
