From: [email hidden] (Sonnie B.) Subject: Moist Crock-
Pot Chicken Does anyone have recipes which avoid dry
    chicken in a crock-pot?

    Slow Cooker Garlic Chicken

3 to 5 lb whole chicken 5 cloves garlic salt and pepper
    lemon juice rosemary sage

Wash chicken inside and out, dust cavity with salt and
pepper. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice into cavity and put
in peeled cloves of garlic and some fresh rosemary sprigs.
(Or use dried, if you have to). Dust outside with salt,
pepper, and sage. Tie legs together and tie the wings to the
body. Use a small bowl or a trivet to suspend chicken out of
the juices. Cook on Low for about 7-8 hours or so until
done. The chicken will fall apart when you take it out but
it is moist and delicious! Skim fat off juices and thicken
with flour and/or cornstarch mixed with a bit of water to
    make delicious gravy.
