Slim profile mechanical disk brake recommendation wanted

I'm trying to find rear mechanical disk brake with a reasonably
small (slim) profile.

It is for an older Klein Attitude with the 22mm mount plus an AD-PMR
adapter to allow for newer IS style disk brakes.

The problem is that this has to sit in the rear triangle and there is
very little clearance. The Avid mechanical disk caliper is far to big.

The picture labelled "AD-PMR assembly I" at the bottom of this page

http://www.a2zcomponents.com/OLD-web/Adapter/adap01.htm

or
http://www.discbrakeadapters.com/fs_show_item_details.php?item_id=8

shows the type of installation and amount of room I have to fit into.

The Shimano BR-M555 (hydraulic) fits. But I'm hoping to use a mechanical
as going to hydraulic will mean replacing the shifter pod as well.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.
