Interesting observation. Is he a hill walker? I've heard it
said that the view of Brecon from Pen y Fan is a good one
but I think that's [censored]. Why would anyone want to look at
urban areas and flat land?

Still, it's interesting to know that some people like views
of flat land. Maybe it's the fact that it emphasises how
high up they are?

Me..

The view from the Beacons up to the patchworks of
Herefordshire is a delight. Likewise the sudden revalation
of the plain when approaching the Cleveland escarpment from
the South. (You get two flat views up there, plateau and
flood plain)

There is something special about the hills along the
Highland line too, two different views and great variety.

Nowt wrong with flatlands as long as something is there to
overlook them.
