  1. Hi,

This is my first posting to this group.

Which vitamin should I take to have a smooth, youthful looking skin?

I am already taking Vitamin E. If I have to choose between Vitamin B
or C, which should I choose?

    Thanks,
    Rahula

It's not about vitamins. If you are a youth, you will have smooth,
youthful looking skin; if you are middle aged like me, you won't. Here's
what little I know on the subject (it's very little):-

    1. Drink lots of water - moisturise from the inside.

    2. Get lots of exercise to get the blood pumping through the layers just
under the skin (requires decent hydration, see (1)).

    3. Don't ever ever smoke - the fastest way to [censored] your skin up is to
smoke - all those free radicals... tch.

    4. Don't ever ever sunbathe.

Eat well and don't get sunburned. If you already have a tanned leather
skin from repeated sunburn, you've pretty well done your dash.
There is something else, however, and that is to choose the right
parents :-) Oh, and not smoking goes without saying.

Isn't this a popular urban myth? Surely any excess water will just be
    piddled out?

Moderate, regular exercise is surely the go. Too much and you will
    wear out prematurely :-)

And it tends to give you a yellow-grey pallor!

Absolutely. Although make sure you get sufficient sunlight for vit D.
In Australia, we have kids and adults with D shortage coz they
followed the "slip, slop, and slap" too rigorously. Fine skin, but
    rickets! :-)
