POCATELLO- Late Friday evening, Sam Krieg walked into Mink Creek Nordic Center, strapped on cross-country skis for the first time and set to teaching himself. After spending most of the first 15 minutes on his derriere, Krieg picked up a few tips from a coach and managed to at least stay vertical.
