Size Rider for Lemond

I am 6' 1" tall and I ride a 57 cm LeMond Maillot Jaune. Fits perfectly. It helps if you have a long
torso (vs. legs) in fitting a LeMond well owing to their longer top tube design.

I (6'0) was measured at two different bike shops and ended up with a 55cm Zurich - both shops were
in agreement. That said, I don't think you should buy a bike without getting a proper measurement.
Your height is NOT the key factor.

At 6'0", I prefer the 59. I've ridden a friend's 57 a lot, and while it's OK, it seems the 59 would
be better, so that's what I bought (it hasn't gotten here yet).

Some things to consider:

First, there's really not that much difference between a Lemond fit and everything else. Slide the
seat forward a cm or so (less than half an inch), and you have a "normal" seat tube angle, and top
tube length.

Second, any discrepancy in length between two sizes can easily be adjusted with stem length. If
mine is too long, all I have to do is fit a shorter stem -- which will probably improve steering
feel anyway.

Finally, another thing you might consider is head tube length. The bigger frame will put the bars up
a little higher.

Hold yer femur reall close to the computer screen.....

Really, you need to see if the seat tube angle is proper for your femur length, getting your knee in
the proper position in relation to the BB, and also seat height, before you can determine if the top
tube is proper for either size.

Overall height and inseam mean little., femur length and torso length and flexibility and use of
bike, etc, all do-have a bike shop with a fit cycle around??
