Folks, just opening a thread for those of you who, like me, follow the 6 Nations tournament.
Interesting opening weekend of rugby.
England beat Italy in London 36 - 11.
Ireland beat France in Dublin 30 - 21.
Wales beat Scotland in Edinburgh 26 - 13.
England did not look particularly convincing against an Italian side which had to place a loose forward (Bergamasco) to play scrum half.
But a win is a win - and Martin Johnson needed to start this tournament with a win for his team.
Ireland v France was a great game : France played really well throughout especially in the opening 20 mins.
Ireland managed to hold on to France and slowly edged their way back in to the game.
O Driscoll, D'Arcy, Heaslip, Kearney were the pick of the Irish team.
But France too look like they have a solid team, given that they left out the likes of Elissade and Michelak.
Wales went to Edinburgh - which is a tricky venue at the ebst of time.
Wales turned on the magic with Shane Williams, martyn William, Mike Philips and Lee Byrne all staring.
Scotland though they were on the back foot for 60 mins, finished strongly in the end and they will get better as the tournament progressed.
next week : England travel to Cardiff, Ireland go to Rome and Scotland head for Paris for week 2.
Intriguing.
